Walk 6 - Foston to Great Peatling Lodge Farm to Peatling

There is a small amount of careful parking available at St Bartholomews Church
on Barley Lane, where the walk starts.

Continue along Barley Lane passed Lodge Cottage and Foston Cottages. Over the fields to your right (opposite the cottages), there are great views of Countesthorpe and out to Westdale Farm.
Follow the lane, which is generally very quiet, but still beware (cars that do use the lane tend to go quite fast). This is just a tranquil stroll along the edge of the fields. In season, you will see blackberries growing in the hedgerows.
You will come to Great Peatling Farm on the left. Opposite the farm is Reed Pool Spinney, which is not accessible to the public.
The walk can be continued by joining with Walk 7 back to Countesthorpe or Walk 8 to Peatling Magna.
