Walk 9 - Peatling Magna to Peatling Road, Countesthorpe
Approx 2 miles - (About 1 hour)
If you are here, I hope you sampled the Cock Inn and looked around Peatling Magna!
Walk back out of Peatling Magna towards Countesthorpe. Before you leave the village there is a telephone box on the left. Just past this is a gate and stile, which is the start of the footpath.
Walk diagonally across the first open field, generally grazing land with sheep. The second field is often fun!! It is usually high grass (hope you put your jeans on?). The path is diagonally through the grass.
The next field is usually a well marked path across ploughed or wheat field.
At the end of this field, pause for breath and notice how free you are from
all man made things - tranquil open countryside to chill out in!!!
At the next field the path follows the right edge of the field. WATCH FOR COWS!! They are harmless (??) but could approach you inquisitively. Treat them with respect and they will treat you with respect.
Again follow the edge of the next field turning left at the bottom and follow to the gate. The next field is open grazing with sheep and views of Countesthorpe ahead.

The final field is not too clear but follow the edage for approx 400yards and look across to the left for the yellow marker. You will come out on Peatling Road. Follow the edge of the road back into Countesthorpe.
