Diary December 2007

| Back to Diary Index |

I've actually got ahead of myself for once this month, so here's December's Diary!!

Countesthorpe Stocking Fillers

Not too late to order a little gift from my shop for Christmas.......

The postcards and magnet from my little online shop will remind someone of their dear village of Countesthorpe. All the money goes to the running of the site and at 50p a postcard and £3 a magnet, good value for money (with a tad added for postage). The magnets are proving very popular.

The Peoples £50 million give away

The People’s £50 Million contest is one of a number of initiatives pioneered to give the public a greater say in where Lottery funding goes. It gives evryone a chance to vote on 4 very worthy causes and while I worry this may turn into some kind of "X Factor" for worthy causes, one project is very dear to my heart.

That is the continued development of PROPER cycle provisions around the country, something Sustran is desperate for further funding for. You may not agree and may well wish to vote for one of the other charities, but (just my little attempt to sway the voting) Sustran Connect2 is the only one of the 4 projects that is a 'national' project & will have more lasting benefits than the other options, in my view.

Sustrans' Connect2

Eden Project: The Edge
Black Country Urban Park
Sherwood: the Living Legend
