Technically, this is part of this website. It all started when a few emails asked me about the surrounding area. So I've put together a small site on Peatling Magna. Local boys done good: Fantastic rock indie band made up of Countesthorpe and Blaby fellas. Their self titled debut album has taken the scene by storm...maybe they'll play the Walkers Stadium this summer (I'm already booked for Reading..hopefully they don't clash with The Darkness this year!!??)
Named after Linda Kasabian, Charles Manson's getaway driver turned state witness, these guys are making it big. Well played.

Just outside Countesthorpe is the old settlement of Foston. This website gives some wonderful information on the church, even a sketch of grave plots for those interested in their geneaology.
